ANNOUNCEMENT:

A Blog has been added to replace the AIPRE site as a forum at www.iprr.org for the free exchange of thoughts and ideas about accident and incident investigation processes. The AIPRE was taking too much time to clean up spammer intrusions, so I switched strategies for providing an idea exchange.
The Blog titled"Safety Contrarians" can be accessed at

http://iprr.blogspot.com/

The Blog is readable by anyone. If you want to join in the dialog or propose a topic, e-mail me to let me know of your interest. Send e-mails with your gmail address to luben@ the iprr.org address expressing your interest. Meanwhile I will be updating the Blog with new topics frequently.

The AIPRE still has five Forums that can be viewed, but the content will no be monitored or updated after 2/20/08.

  • a Welcome Forum and Support with a welcome message for newly registered participants; this forum is monitored for suggestions from participants.

  • a Public Forum accessible to the public, including any investigators, safety professionals, analysts, and anyone interested in investigations, for general discussions about investigation processes.

  • an Investigator's Forum, a forum for registered investigator to discuss investigation experiences, challenges, issues, needs, suggestions etc. that could precipitate investigation process research or improvements. Available to registered users.

  • a Transferred Posts from Topica section. The AIPRE forum was previously located at Tropica, which carried numerous ads. It was relocated to iprr.org's ad-free web site, and most of the exchanges posted at the earlier site were moved to this Forum.

  • a Investigator's Forum, a forum for investigators who register to discuss investigation experiences, challenges, issues, needs, suggestions etc. that could precipitate investigation process research or improvements. Available to registered users.

Discussion Groups can be set up for specific interest groups by the Administrator. For example, an Active Research Group is now available for seeking references, feedback, criticisms or discussion for planned or currently active research projects.

To participate in these discussions, open AIPRE and click on Register. When registering, YOU MUST ENTER "INVESTIGATION RESEARCH" in the space for "Interests" DURING YOUR REGISTRATION or your registration will be rejected. You will be notified by email when your registration has been activated.

If you are a researcher, send the administrator an email expressing your interest in joining the Private message board or a Group.

The Forum is about accident investigation process research-related discussions. It is not intended to be used for "accident research" or accident analysis except as those topics might relate to the investigation process improvement.
